We Almost Missed Seeing the Garden Tomb
How does a Christian almost miss seeing the Garden Tomb when they visit Jerusalem? We were only there for a day. So we made sure it was our first stop. It was December and our familly lived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. My husband was a teacher at a university, but he was still chasing down all the paperwork for our residency. This meant we had to leave Jordan in order to have new current visas in all our passports. The cheapest way was to cross the border and visit Jerusalem. Most of us had never been there and so even a day trip there and back was exciting. But without residency we also couldn't have a car. (Most the time no car worked fine for us.)
